Why I Stopped Buying Automotive Components on Unit Price Alone
Here’s my position: the cheapest component price is usually the most expensive way to buy an automotive part. I didn’t reach that opinion in a procurement seminar. I reached it by measuring parts that showed up from low-bid suppliers, and then expediting replacements after they didn’t perform.
